This type of Connection window describes the functionality for Discrete Inputs and Coils.

Length

The maximum length of bits to read or write is 125*2*8 = 2000.

Table columns

Address

In these cells you can enter a description for the data. If Hex is selected, the addresses are displayed in hexadecimal format.

Name

In these cells you can enter an optional description for the bits.

Bit

In these cells you can see the state of the bits. Bits which are set are displayed with a green bar. With check-box True / false you can change the display of states between their names and 0/1.

If the selected data type is Coil , you can overwrite the bits in your device by :

oDouble-click to toggle the selected bit

oPress  Space  or  Enter  to toggle all selected bits

oPress  0  or  F  to reset all selected bits

oPress  1  or  T  to set all selected bits

After confirmation (if not disabled by Command line > /WriteAllways ) one or more bits will be written into your device and old bits will be overwritten.
